AIR OUT YOUR DIRTY LAUNDRY

Project developed with Ilya Lindhout and
Mayomi Basnayaka.
Its result was a performance in which we blended
into the daily tasks of the laundrette
"The Clean Brothers Wasserette", located in the
historical neighbourhood of the Jordan in
Amsterdam.
During two days, from 9:00 till 16:00, we completed
our shift, receiving customers and spectators alike.
We embodied the place's oral and corporal archive, mirroring the women who have been working in the laundrette for many years: Annie and Nes.
Inviting others to be part of it—engaging them as observers, customers, friends, apprentices or even
co-workers.
